My thesis investigates novel ways of using semantics in user-based recommender systems. We apply Semantic Web technologies to machine learning to learn more accurate user preference models. User similarity is computed based on these models and used for collaborative filtering. This work is partly supported by the Swiss innovation promotion agency CTI. |
